New Online Home

I finished moving over from Candace’s servers to my new home at E-Starr. So far I’ve had no problems and I’m happy with the price!

This month is igORG’s 11 year anniversary! I can’t believe how time has flown by. I started blogging on a different website, then I moved to blogger, then I moved to WordPress and invisiblegirl.org and have been blogging here ever since. My early entries are from my senior year in high school and very cringe-worthy! Some of my favorite posts are my wedding post, of course all of my quilting posts. I’ve been having a good time blogging about the improvements we’ve been making to the house, too.

I don’t think I had any idea when I started what I wanted to make out of this blog and I still don’t have any idea, but it’s nice to have a home on the web to exercise my creativity. Here’s to 11 more years 🙂

InvisibleGirl.Org is Now Mobile!

I just activated a new plugin, WP Touch, to make my site mobile friendly. I love it! The plugin is so easy to use and it’s so simple to customize the look. Best of all, the site is much easier to browse from a cell phone now.

I never realized how important accessibility from a cell phone was until I got a smart phone myself! Normally I use the Google Reader App to read websites, but if I need to visit the site to comment or read the rest of the post, it can be quite challenging when a site is not mobile-friendly. So now you can read invisiblegirl.org easily on the go. 🙂 Enjoy!

Yet another new theme.

I found this theme over at WPGlamour.com and I really liked it’s simplicity. I also like the sidebar. I tweaked it a bit to fit my personal needs (fonts, sidebar, etc) and it was actually really easy to do. I think I may add a header with a couple pictures of rpattz and kristen from the VMAs, those fit the bright colors of this theme. yay 🙂

Hooray, upgrade!

I’ve upgraded WP to the latest version, finally. I’ve been a bit too lazy to upgrade to 2.6 for a while now, but I really like it! 🙂

I’m also working on getting a new theme up, which actually inspired my upgrade, haha.

I’ve also finished putting the first version of BigJohnMazmanian.com online for a good friend of mine. Check it out and let me know what you think of it. I am thinking of adding a message board on there — a really simple one. Any suggestions for a good, light weight, simple script?

Domain Renewal

I’ve been so busy with wedding planning lately, I feel like a chicken with my head cutoff. 🙂 But today I was able to pay attention to my little domain! I renewed the domain so we don’t have a repeat of last year, when I almost forgot to renew in time. 🙂

Yesterday I went to the Los Angeles Flower District to look at flowers for the wedding with Mike’s mom and aunt. His aunt does really beautiful arrangements for all of the family’s events. I decided on a white scheme filled with tulips, hydrangeas, freesia, lilies, roses, chrysanthemum, eucalyptus and a couple of greeneries I don’t know the name of. We bought some of each and made arrangements when we got home, and they were so beautiful! I’m really excited. My sister has already booked the place for my bridal shower, and this week I’m making reservations for my bachelorette party! Next weekend I’m going dress shopping, which I’m not looking forward to. x.x Wish me luck! Only 209 days to go!
