Burnt Out!

I am totally burnt out on quilting right now. I haven’t touched a project or fabric for about a week. One reason is because I’ve just been really busy at work. Last week I worked 14 hour days almost everyday, so pretty much the last thing I wanted to do when I got home was sit at a machine and work some more. 🙂 Then I was in Las Vegas for the first three days of this week with my husband, taking a much needed break. Last night when we got home I looked at my last remaining Christmas present that NEEDS to be quilted, and could not find the energy or desire to work on it! Tonight we have plans to see a ballet here in town, then on Friday night I am working… then it’s Christmas! Oops! Guess I’ll be up all night one of these days quilting my last present. I KNEW this would happen if I put it off, and yet I did it anyway.

Wish me luck getting my last present finished! I can’t wait to blog about the process.

Tell me, do you ever get burnt out on quilting?

  1. I know what you mean. I finished up 9 quilts in the last six weeks. I had the tops pieced but then was afraid to get in and quilt. I only did stitch in the ditch but they turned out pretty great. l put the last one in the mail on Tuesday and have not touched fabric since.
