There is yet ANOTHER social media site out there, but I’m totally loving the newest one I’ve joined… Pinterest! What is Pinterest?

Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favorite recipes.

I have decor and furniture ideas for a house (if I ever get one), recipes and quilt ideas and inspiration on my pinboards. Lately I’ve been obsessed with pinning watercolor paintings:

Miss Doxie is back!!

So I know I have practically no readers, but I just need to rejoice and tell you all that Miss Doxie is back, after nearly a year’s absence!!

I was so excited to see a new post from her in my Google Reader this morning! If you haven’t heard of her or read her blog, go over there immediately, her stories are hilarious.

Hopefully we’ll be seeing a lot more posts in the near future 🙂

My Mormon Name

They’re a funny old bunch, those latter day saints. Rather than picking names from their heritage, or the Bible, the Utah Mormons tend to make them up. Sometimes they’ll combine the parents’ names into one (BenDonna, for example). Other times it’s impossible to quite understand what their parents were thinking; names like Zestpool and Zon’tl aren’t uncommon.

We can understand why you might be jealous of names like these. After all, they are far more interesting and exciting than your own. I saw a link to Wordle posted on Tales of Wit and Charm, a blog I follow. Wordle makes a word cloud based on your blog. Here’s mine:

I don’t feel like mine is accurate at all! I can only think of like three posts in hundreds that I’ve talked about Olympic athletes. I guess I must have said their names about a hundred times in those posts. But it is true I say “hot” a lot, lol.

Hooray, upgrade!

I’ve upgraded WP to the latest version, finally. I’ve been a bit too lazy to upgrade to 2.6 for a while now, but I really like it! 🙂

I’m also working on getting a new theme up, which actually inspired my upgrade, haha.

I’ve also finished putting the first version of BigJohnMazmanian.com online for a good friend of mine. Check it out and let me know what you think of it. I am thinking of adding a message board on there — a really simple one. Any suggestions for a good, light weight, simple script?
