Anime Viewed.

Here is a list of the anime I’ve seen, inspired by my Book and Video games lists. Hopefully I caught everything, I might have missed some, though.

Title. Date viewed. Comments.

.hack//SIGN (TV). 2004. Unfinished. Boring to begin with, music is cool though.

Aa! Megami-sama. 2002. Unfinished. I’ve only seen parts, but it’s oh so cuute. I would love to see the rest.
Ah! My Goddess: The Movie. 2002. Finished. I love it! It’s very cute and touching, and the music is good.
The Adventures of Mini-Goddess. 2003. Finished. I think I may like this one better than the original series!
Aishiteruze Baby (TV). 2004. Finished. The animation isn’t anything spectacular, but it’s a cute and moving story.
Akira (movie). 1999. Finished. What anime fan HASN’T seen this movie? So cool.
The Animatrix (OAV). 2003. Finished. It was ok. I liked how all the different episodes had different styles.
Azumanga Daioh (TV). 2004-2005. Finished. I love Azumanga! This is sooo funny. Yayyyy.

BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad (TV). Unfinished. 2004. I started watching it, but it’s really slow moving to begin with, so I lost interest. Interesting concept though, and animation.
Berserk (TV). 2004. Finished. Only one word I can use to describe this one… disturbing. The outtakes on the DVDs are hilarious, though.
Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon . Unfinished. 1994. Believe it or not, I have not seen all of the seasons. I’ve seen most of the first, most of R, almost none of S, some of Super S and all of Stars. Actually, I think I did start watching Stars. I love it though… Sailor Moon, you are so close to my heart!
Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon (Live Action). 2004. Finished. While I guess not anime, it was a live action remake of the classic anime, so I had to include it. People liked to make fun of the cheesy production, but I thought it was a good series. They changed just enough to make it interesting to those of us that had seen the original, but kept enough so as to not alienate us. I liked it.
Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Gaiden – Ami-chan no Hatsukoi (special). 1999. Finished. Also known as Sailor Moon SuperS Plus – Ami’s First Love. It’s a cute little special.
Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon R: The Movie. 1999. Finished. I really like this movie, it was pretty good.
Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon S: The Movie. 1999. Finished. It was okay, nice to focus on a character besides Usagi once in a while, but not as good as the R movie.
Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon SuperS Movie: Black Dream Hole 1999. Finished. I love the song in this!! I really like this movie, yayyyy Sailor Moon.
Bleach (TV). 2004. Unfinished. I started watching this and I really liked it, but life got in the way and I wasn’t interested enough to pursue it further.
Blue Submarine No.6. Unfinished. 2000? I watched this when it was on Cartoon Network. Not very good.
Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040. Unfinished. 2000? Animation not that great, storyline old and boring.

Castle in the Sky. 2004. Finished. Cute movie, but then again I love everything Studio Ghibli.
The Cat Returns. 2005. Finished. I love this one! Such a good story of staying true to yourself, etc. Love it.
Cowboy Bebop. 2002. Finished. This is probably one of my favorite anime of all time. Such an awesome storyline, animation, music… Just awesome.
Cowboy Bebop: Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door (movie). 2003. Finished. Meh. Not that great compared to the rest of the series. Soundtrack is good though.

Escaflowne: The Movie. 2003. Finished. I love this movie!! So good! It’s a different take on Escaflowne the series, but I really like it.

Fruits Basket. 2003. Finished. Aww I love this one, it’s so cute! I love Tohru! I wish it had stayed truer to the manga towards the end.
Full Metal Panic!. 2004. Finished. This started out very cute and funny, but the storyline got murky towards the end. The sequels redeemed it, though.
Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu. 2007. Finished. It’s really funny!!!
Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid. 2008. Finished. Everything you love about the first series is in this one, not much more though.
Full Moon wo Sagashite. 2004. Finished. I really liked this one, it was so cute! And so sad at times! Very girly though. I like the songs, too.
Fullmetal Alchemist. 2004. Finished. WAHHH ONE OF MY FAVORITES! I love FMA so much!! This anime is so cool and the storyline is sooo gripping, I love it!
Fushigi Yuugi. 2001. Finished. My best friend and I used to be obsessed with this anime! I remember I brought it back from AX2001 and I loooved it. It’s so girly and shoujo-y but I still love it…
Fushigi Yuugi OAV. 2002. Finished. This OAV was pointless, I don’t know why they made it. So confusing.
Fushigi Yugi Eikoden. 2004. Finished. Not what I thought it was going to be. It was stupid and pointless.

Gake no Ue no Ponyo. 2009. Finished. I managed to see PONYO in the theatre, and it was amazing! I really love Ghibli’s more childlike movies, and this was no exception. It’s a retelling of fairy tale The Little Mermaid, but done in such an interesting and imaginative way. I loved it.
Ghost in the Shell. 2002. Finished. I’m not really sure why this is considered such a classic, but I recognize the accomplished animation. The story wasn’t really interesting to me.
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. 2009. Finished. A wonderful movie about love and staying true to oneself. I really enjoyed it.
Great Teacher Onizuka. 2004. Finished. This one is so funny and awesome! I looove it and I can’t wait to see the live action.

Haibane Renmei. 2003-4? Finished. I love this anime. It’s very short at 12 episodes, but it’s cute and touching.
Hellsing. 2002. Unfinished. I watched the first DVD and it was pretty scary to me. 🙁 Maybe I’ll finish it one day.
Howl’s Moving Castle. 2007. Finished. I really loved this movie, it wasn’t popular with a lot of people, but I loved the storyline and I always enjoy it when Ghibli movies include some romance. It inspired me to read the book it was based on by Diana Wynne Jones. They’re very different from each other, but I think I like the movie more.

Inu Yasha. 2004. Unfinished. I watched a good chunk of the series and really liked it, but it dragged on too much for my taste. I wanted a resolution.

Jubei-chan – Secret of the Lovely Eyepatch. 2004. Unfinished. I’ve seen a few episodes of this. Not that bad, but not that good either.
Junkers Come Here. 2004. Finished. Very cute movie about familes and the struggles they face.

Kai Doh Maru. 2009. Finished. WEIRD. The animation was really pretty at some points, but generally the colors were so washed out it was annoying, and the story was barely coherent. At only 47 mins, I wasn’t sure why they didn’t flesh out the story a bit more so it would, you know make sense.
Kanon. 2004. Finished. Wooow. Saaappy. I think it could get sappier if it tried — wait, no, it couldn’t. That didn’t stop me from watching the entire series though.
Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou. 2004. Finished. This one is very good, but the ending was so unsatisfying! Why did it go off on that tangent at the end and never resolve the Arima and Yukino issues? I guess the animation caught up with the manga. Skip this, read the manga.
Kiki’s Delivery Service. 2003. Finished. I love this movie!! Ohhh I love Kiki, this is a really great movie for all ages.
Kimagure Orange Road: The Movie. 2001. Finished. I think i saw this. Not very memorable.

Love Hina. 2003. Finished. Very cute and funny.
Love Hina Again. 2004. Finished. Nothing is ever as good as the original, is it?

Macross Plus. 2002. Finished. Cool, short little OAV. Music is great and the storyline is pretty cool, too.
Magic User’s Club. 2004. Unfinished. Aww this one is so cute, I really want to watch more of it. It’s about little witches and stuff.
Mahoromatic: Automatic Maiden. 2005. Unfinished. Cute but slightly perverted.
Metropolis. 2003. Finished. Cute animation style, not very good movie though.
Millennium Actress. 2005. Finished. I really like this movie. It’s about the life of a retired actress, but it’s told in such a way as to distort which was her life and which was just a movie. Really cool.
Mobile Suit Gundam Wing. 2001. Finished. I liked this at first, but it does not have replay value at allll. I look at it now and am amazed I ever watched it! Just so stupid! Why doesn’t everyone realize they are all gay. 🙁
Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz. 2002. Finished. This is the movie to GW and is even more retarded than the series, if that’s possible.
Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack. 2002. Finished. I can’t even begin to describe the crap that is this movie.
Mononoke Hime. 2001. Finished. Also known as Princess Mononoke. I love this movie and the soundtrack. This is one of my favorite anime.
My Neighbor Totoro. 2004. Finished. CUUUTE!! I love Totoro!! Such a good movie.

Naruto. 2009. Unfinished. I started watching this series and really liked it at the beginning, but it started dragging after the fourth hokage was killed. I tend to not like long anime, so I doubt I’ll finish this one.
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. 2005. Finished. I saw this when it came out on DVD and wow… I was blown away. I can see why some would say this is the best Ghibli film. So awesome.
Neon Genesis Evangelion. 2002. Finished. I really don’t see why this one is so popular. It wasn’t that great in my opinion.
Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death & Rebirth (movie). 2003. Finished. I guess it clears some things up.
Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion. 2003. Finished. Meh.
Ninja Scroll (movie). 2003. Finished. Pretty good, very entertaining. I would like to see the series.
Noir. 2003. Unfinished. I guess it starts off slow because I could not get into it.

Onegai Teacher. 2004. Finished. A bit dirty and weird for me.

Panda! Go, Panda! (movie). 2003? Finished. Aw, I watched this at AX one year when I had nothing else to do. It was so cute!
Paprika. 2005. Finished. I don’t even know what this movie was trying to be about. Really weird, didn’t like it.
Pokemon. 2000? Unfinished. Who hasn’t seen at least some Pokemon? I used to watch it a lot when it first came out. But when Brock was replaced with Tracy… it just wasn’t the same.
Ponyo. 2009. Finished. LOVED IT!! Such a cute Ghibli movie!
Porco Rosso. 2005. Finished. Very enjoyable. It’s Ghibli, after all!

RahXephon (TV). 2004. Unfinished. I’d like to see more of this, but it seems like an Eva rip-off to me.
Ranma ½ (TV). 1999. Unfinished. I love Ranma! I have a problem with really long series though, so I don’t know that I’ll ever finish it.
Revolutionary Girl Utena. 2001. Unfinished. Saw a few eps. It’s ok.
Revolutionary Girl Utena: The Movie. 2002. Unfinished. I could never get into it.
Ronin Warriors (TV). 2002. Unfinished. I watched this when it was on Cartoon Network. It wasn’t too sucky.
Rurouni Kenshin. 2004. Finished. Oh my Gosh I love Kenshin. I’ve seen all of it, but that’s still not enough. MORE KENSHIN!
Rurouni Kenshin – Meiji Kenkaku Romantan – Tsuioku Hen. 2004. Finished. Aw, this one was soo good. Poor Kenshin!

Samurai Champloo. 2005. Finished. I love it! Made by the people who brought us Bebop, so you know I’m already on board.
School Rumble. 2010. Finally finished this series nearly four years after starting it. I thought it
Serial Experiments Lain. 2003. Finished. Very cool and unique.
Spirited Away. 2004. Finished. Good movie, I’m glad it won an Oscar. I thought that Princess Mononoke was better, though.

Tokyo Godfathers. 2004. Finished. Very funny and cute movie about 3 homeless friends and a baby they find.
Trigun 2003. Finished. Another of my favorite anime. It gets quite convoluted in the end but it’s still awesome.

Vampire Hunter D. 2001. Finished. Ooh I love this movie. D is so gritty yet so human at the same time. And you have to love the talking hand.
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. 2004. Finished. Not as good as the first.
Vision of Escaflowne. 2003. Finished. I really like this one. It’s your typical transportation girl anime. Beautiful music, great storyline.

Weiss Kreuz. 2003. Unfinished. One word: Stupid.
Whisper of the Heart. 2008. Finished. Another beautiful film from Studio Ghibli. I love this movie, it’s one of their few movies with an overt romance theme, and part of the story line ties in with The Cat Returns.

X. 2001. Finished. I don’t know why people don’t like this movie. Sure, it’s not that great, but I’ve seen worse. If nothing else, the animation is really pretty.
