Here is my progress on my Butterfly Blossoms quilt. I used two Good Fortune by Kate Spain for Moda Charm packs, and to make my life easier, I bought Bella Solid Charm packs in White rather than cutting out 80 5in squares. All of these pieces are appliqued, which in itself didn’t take too long. But I had to iron two of the edges under before I could applique and that took forever! I have to admit though, it looks much better than raw edge applique (to me, anyway). Next, I need to cut the sashing, cornerstones, border and binding and assemble the quilt top.
I have some quilts in the pipeline that need doing:
- Baby girl quilt: I have another cousin due with a baby in May, I’d like to make a quilt for her before baby arrives. I haven’t picked out the pattern yet but I hope to use all fabric from my stash to do it.
- Mike’s T-shirt Quilt: I talked about wanting to start this soon back in November. I didn’t receive any of the materials I’ll be needing as Christmas gifts but my birthday is around the corner, so maybe then!
I’m linking up with Patchwork Times this week.
Very pretty blocks. I love the colors Kate Spain uses.
Me too!! Her designs are so pretty. Thanks for stopping by.
