It’s finally done! It measures about 49.5″x39.5″. I quilted it using a diamond pattern and used Quilters 80/20 Cotton. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, but look what happened in the wash!
Looks like there was some running dye, which I don’t understand because I ALWAYS pre-wash my fabrics! :uhh: Oh well. Maybe I’ll go back and try to attack it with stain fighter or something.
And here’s the back of the quilt. I had some of this cloud flannel lying around, so I thought I’d use it here. I just love this print and it was hard to part with it, but I think the clouds and rainbow concept works really well. And I did end up doing a scrappy binding on the quilt, I think it looks really cute.
Happy Friday everyone! Enjoy your weekend!
I’m so in love with zig-zags these days, great job! I”ve had the odd bit of fabric bleed into others. Do you have dye catcher? I bought some at my local quilt shop, but I know some grocery stores sell it.

What type of batting did you use? I once had that happen, and it was a cotton seed in the batting. Ever since, I have been more aware of the cotton seeds, picking out the big ones from the batting befor I baste…
I use an 80/20 Cotton blend. I’ve never noticed any cotton seeds in it but I’ll keep an eye out.
Pretty and a bummer about the running.
I always always always rely on my shout color catcher. I buy them at the grocery store.
Love the back!
Thank you! Guess I’ve learned my lesson the hard way! :orly:
