American flag quilt layout.

I’ve cut all the pieces for the American flag quilt. There are 25 blue, 45 red and 38 white five inch squares. I tried to use more tan and off white squares, like the inspiration quilt from Diary of a Quilter, but the design seemed too unfocussed when I did it. So I tried to stick to whiter squares instead. I also plan on using seven inch borders, but I’m not sure what color I want to use. My husband thinks I should use gold, but I’m not sure. Maybe I’ll do a thin gold border, then a thicker white border. Time will tell!
