I actually have a lot to say.

It’s that time again, folks. So, time for a blog. 🙂 I never thought I would hear myself saying this [or in this case, see myself typing this], but I can’t wait until school starts. I mean, it’s not like I enjoy going so much, but at least I don’t have to be at work. I really don’t like my job, but I think that once I start only having to be here for two days a week again, my dislike for it will dissapate somewhat [or I hope it will]. Even though all I do is sit around all day, I’m totally drained once I get home. I don’t even have the energy to blog most of the time. I really have newfound appreciation for what my dad goes through, and has been going through, everyday of his life for 25+ years. I can’t imagine doing this for that long, I’d go crazy.

So, enough complaining! As everyone knows, I worked all week last week, so nothing particularly interesting happened until Thursday night. Vanessa and I decided to go catch a flick, [specifically, Cold Mountain]. We had a great time, I couldn’t stop laughing. 🙂 I’m not so sure how I felt about the movie itself, though. I didn’t like the ending. Anyway, I got to Vanessa’s around 5:30, hung out for a bit, then decided to swing by Del before the movie. Both of us only had ATM cards on us, and we didn’t know if Drive Thru accepts ATM… but we come to this conclusion only after we’re already in the Drive Thru. So Vanessa tries to back out if it, with people behind us. We’re laughing and carrying on until she hits a car! We park and look at the car, but luckily there was no damage [since she was only going about 2 miles per hour]. So we go in, get our food, laughing all the while, and then head over to the theatre. It’s times like these that make me really happy that Vanessa and I are friends. 🙂

Friday! Work during the day was kind of fun, since no one really wanted to be there. We were all trying to get out at 3, but ended up not leaving until 4. Viv brought Greg back to work after she picked him up, and he mentioned that he wanted to see some anime movie that night at University Theatre called Tokyo Godfathers. We ended up going to see it, I really reccomend seeing it if you can. Very funny. We = Mike, Vanessa, Greg and I. After the movie, Mike and I had a really long conversation… one of the best we’ve had in a long time. ^_^ It was really great. Yay Mike.

Saturday was one of the best days I can remember in a long time. Our 1 year anniversary is on Tuesday, the 20th, but since Mike will be at school, we decided to celebrate it this weekend. I watched The Joy Luck Club in the morning [it’s a really great movie, YAY] and then Mike came over. He opened his present from me: A superman steering wheel cover and I made him a copy of Goldfinger’s “Hang-ups”,since he really likes the song “Superman” on it. 🙂 The present he got for me hasn’t come in the mail yet, but he told me that it is a Tinkerbell steering wheel cover. 🙂 He said that he was going to surprise me today, so I had no idea where we were going. First, we went to Tortilla Flats for lunch. He told me when we had been going out for about 2 months that he was going to take me to that restaurant for our one year anniversary. I was so surprised and touched that he actually remembered it… ^^ We had a delicious lunch on the patio, which overlooks Lake Mission Viejo. It was such a pretty day, too. ^_^ Then we headed off on the road, and after a while he blindfolded me. He got embarrassed after a while, because people were staring, lol. It looked like he was kidnapping me. Finally we got to our destination and he took off my blindfold: we were at the Getty! It was soooo cool, I was so psyched. I had been wanting to go there for a while. I think I liked the buildings and grounds more than the actual art displayed though, hehe. They had an exhibit on stained glass that was interesting, though. My favorite part was the gardens [I wish the page had better pictures :(]. It starts out at the top of this slope with a stream, and a path that criss-crosses over the stream. As you move down the hill, the stream gets wider and wider, and finally a large bridge goes over it. Beyond the bridge, the stream becomes a waterfall into this huge pit/pool thing, with plants in it that make a maze like formation. Here is also a beautiful view of Los Angeles [or it would have been, if it wasn’t such a hazy day]. Mike and I both tossed coins in and made wishes. 🙂 After a while we decided to hit up the gift shop [I got a shirt :)] and be on our way. Since it was still early, and there was horrible traffic on the 405, we decided to do something else while we were in LA. I wanted to go to The Promenade, but I thought it was off the freeway, and I didn’t want to stay on the trafficky freeway anymore. We randomly got off at Santa Monica Blvd [which, coincidentally, is where the Nuart Theatre is which, coincidentally again, was playing Tokyo Godfathers] and decided to see what was up. After a time I pulled out the map book to see if there was anything to do around here [maybe go to the Santa Monica Pier] when I realized that the 3rd Street Promenade is off of Santa Monica Blvd! Ah, fate. 🙂 [I figured out that there is a Promenade off of the Freeway: The Promenade at Howard Hughes]. We decided to see “Along Came Polly” which wasn’t too bad. I found it funny that Phillip Seymour Hoffman was in this, because he was also in Cold Mountain. Yay for cranking them movies out! We walked around for a bit on Third street Promenade and ran into no one other than Amanda!. How random is that? I really like the Third Street Promenade, it has… I dunno. A certain character about it that I really liked. There were mimes, clowns, a guy with a monkey, protesters, homeless people… I had tons of fun, hehe. We finally decided to leave [after I bought myself a new pair of pants for $15 ;D] and Mike took me home. It was a really really fun day, and I’m glad Mike kept it a secret from me, even though I pestered him to no end to tell me. ^^

Sunday we went to church, and watched football [what else? :)]. His aunt Paula and uncle Eli were there with us. I’m going to remember their names!! I need to get Mike to give me pictures of them with their names, so I can practice remembering them, lol. There’s so many, I can’t help forgetting!! Anyway, then Mike had to go back to school, and I went home. 🙁 That day my mom had gone to a baby shower for a girl I used to be in Girl Scouts with. Apparently she had a baby a couple weeks ago. : I’m sad for her, because apparently it was a fling, and the baby’s father is gone. Another girl I used to know has a new baby, too. BAH. We’re all too young to freaken be having babies!!

Oh yeah! For all you guys out there who don’t know what to gie your main squeeze for Valentines day, here’s a page that has cheap solutions. I thought it was cute, anyway. 🙂 Gifts under $25.

I guess that’s all. 🙂 Yum!
