Getting off of work early makes me sooo happy! |
Wouldn’t it be nice if every kiss was never ending?
I’m sitting here typing with Lizzy on my lap, she’s so very cute, but not housebroken. 🙁 And that doesn’t mean she peed in my lap.
Okay, last Friday I went shopping for Vanessa and Courtney’s birthday presents, then I hung out with Mike.
Saturday was my aunt’s 50th wedding anniversary party. It was weird, all these relatives that I knew I was somehow related to, but I had no idea who they were. I should at least know their names, but I didn’t. The last time I saw any of them was when I was 10, and they acted like we had just spent Easter together or something. After that, I picked my niece, Amber, up. She’s 15 and going to be a sophomore in high school. I feel like… I dunno. I felt like I should spend some time together with her, but now that she’s here, I wonder if it isn’t too late to try to influence her. I mean, she lives in a completely different world from me, and I am concerned that she’s going to follow the wrong path. Last semester at school she failed 2 classes, and I don’t want her to go the same way her mom went. After I picked her up, we went to Courtney’s birthday party. It got off to kind of a slow start, but it was great to see everyone again. I could tell Amber was really bored though, so we went to Mike’s house and watched a movie with his family, and she seemed to perk up a lot and have fun.
Sunday we went to church, then to Mike’s house to party! He threw an end of the summer party, and a lot of people showed up! I was having some issues that day, though. 😛
I have to get ready to go to the beach. 🙂
mood: good!
book: Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley. I’m thinking of ditching it though, for a book Tyler reccomended to me, Cat’s Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut.
song: “Silver Shining” by Laruku.
